Miquel Mascarell and Sierra i Fabra seem to have the star stuck in their chest and seek justice for all those who never had it. Justice for the anonymous defeated who carried their grief until the last of their days. The author writes at the end of his novel Eight Days of March: “With this book, as with others in the Mascarell series, I only try to make historical memory within the framework of a mere police novel”. That’s what he says. I sincerely believe that it is more, much more than that.
